Teacher pages are helpful resources that can be found on a school's website to get parents and student's information that is vital to success in the classroom. Many times, these pages have special logins that only parents and students have in order to maintain privacy in the classroom. While looking around for some different teacher pages, I found Chile's high school in Tallahassee's school website that has many helpful resources that teachers have for students. Publicly,  I could tell that this school has many different options for students when it comes to class pages and that teachers can use a variety of websites to relay information to their students. These websites, which are easily accessible from the school website, can be used in many ways for students to virtually learn, communicate, and study with their teacher outside of the classroom.

As a future educator, I can see myself incorporating a variety of technology platforms into my classroom to better help not only myself, but my students as well. I believe that having a monthly google calendar go out each month that my students have access to would be a helpful resource for them, as it would give assignment dates and events for the entire month. This would keep me accountable for having things done in a timely manner and give them ample time as to when they should expect to have assignments due. I would additionally like to have a continuous google form open for suggestions that my students would like to see in the classroom. This can help my students to make me a better teacher by giving feedback on assignments and in class activities, but also letting me know what they expect from me as a teacher.
I was not the biggest fan of working on PB works as a wiki platform. For this particular website, I didn't like how multiple people could not work on the page simultaneously and that the site would lag sometimes. However, I did like that the website was easy to access and gave the option to attach links that could open in the same tab or separately. For my future students, I could use a wiki for each unit to make things easily accessible and make standards clear in the front of each page, as the purpose, and have separate links in the table of contents as study guides, powerpoint, assignments, etc.

Before this class, I had never really used twitter. I was aware how twitter worked and had my friends show me funny tweets frequently but never thought about having a profile for myself. I haven't found twitter to be super beneficial, but it does provide some good humor from time to time. In my future career, twitter won't be a very helpful source to my students or my profession as I would like to be a speech pathologist. Unfortunately the digital divide is something that greatly affects students across the entire country and even the world. As many students do not have access to technology and as the world grows more dependent on technology, these students are falling behind. Due to this, I will need to fight for technological equality for my future students by introducing them to different  technology. This may be difficult, but if the work is put in I think I can be successful in advocating for them. Academic software can be a blessing and a curse in the classroom. Sometimes...

These past couple of weeks have been my first experiences using Diigo. I had never heard of this website before recently, and truthfully struggled in how to use the website. I like that the website allows you to easily find different links and save the ones you find useful to your library. I don't like Diigo for the set up of the site. The website is older looking and could use a facelift to make it modern and appealing to more current websites. Blogging has not been what I expected it to be. Before this class, I didn't know too much about blogs; I was not aware that blogs were customizable and that they can have different links that lead to different areas of the blog page. One of my favorite things about blogging is getting to customize each post to make it look 'cute'! However, I am not a huge fan of how each person with a blog can have them set up differently. Though unique touches are nice, sometimes it take...
